2023-2024 Confirmation Overview:

The St. John's joint confirmation program is geared towards youth in grades 6th-8th. 

6th and 7th Grade Confirmation 2023-24

 All 6th and 7th graders are invited to come to St. John’s immediately after school on each Wednesday that there is confirmation. Class will run from 4:00 pm until 5:15 pm. Snacks will be provided. Content will be Bible with an emphasis on claiming and owning some Bible stories. Some Old Testament and some New Testament lessons will be taught this year. The final schedule is still being reviewed. Deacon Tara and Pastor Stephanie are the primary teacher but individual weeks may be team taught/ lay led/ or pastoral-leader led. 

If this is your first time registering for Confirmation, please complete a paper registration form available in the church office.

8th Grade Confirmation 2023-2024

St. John’s and Trinity 8th graders will all be meeting together at Trinity. We should have a great group and lots of fun. Class will begin at 6:30 pm and run until 8 pm on 2 or 3 Wednesdays per month. The final schedule is still being reviewed. We ask that a parent or mentor/adult accompany each youth to class each time. If a parent or mentor is not available, please still have the youth attend. Pr. Susan Haukaas and Pastor Stephanie are the primary teacher but individual weeks may be team taught/ lay led/ or pastoral-leader led. 

Fees: We are asking each confirmation family to contribute $75 for the workbook, snacks, and Area Youth Events. If this fee presents a family hardship, please speak to Pr. Erik.  Also enclosed is a flyer for the fall retreat. Our week will be Sept. 22-24. This is not required, but lots of fun.
