In July 2015, Youth from Jamestown will join young people from all over this great nation in Detroit, MI. We are headed there to share the love and grace of Jesus with the people of a devastated city on the mend. As young people blessed to live in North Dakota, we will go to Detroit to partner with the citizens of Michigan in the revitalization efforts of this historic place. We will work, pray, play and worship together, as we feel called by our Heavenly Father to do. Will you please help us to help Detroit?
Our Youth are excited to be a part of the healing of such a dynamic city in so much need. But, they need your help. On Saturday, October 4 from 10 am to 4pm, the Youth are hosting a Walk-a-Thon in McElroy Park. Each youth is collecting sponsors for the miles they plan to walk. The goal for the walk-a-thon is 1025 miles, the approximate distance from Jamestown to Detroit. There will be a D.J., Food Booth, and Bake Sale. Please come out to the park on Oct 4 and join in the Walk for Detroit. Walk a few miles with us, because every mile counts. Bring your families and friends to enjoy good food, good friends and good atmosphere for a good cause. We can't do it without you!
For more information or to donate without coming to the park, call St. John’s Lutheran Church at 252-1198 or stop by the church office 424 1st Ave S. Sorry, no online way to sponsor set up.
